Love - Rishona Chopra

If you judge people, you will have no time to love them.
- Mother Teresa

Love is when you care for somebody so dearly that often the care is a silent one. My parents have loved me unconditionally. They might not have time for other things, but they have all the time in the world for me.

As Jetzunma Tenzin Palmo rightly said, love is when you say - I love you because I want you to be happy; if that includes me, great if it doesn't matter. I think absolute joy is when we give love. We can provide that love for our parents. A cup of water when they come home, asking them how their day was and giving them a big tight hug can show your love. After all, love has to be in actions, not in words. Unconditional love is essential for happiness and satisfaction. If we love others unconditionally, others will also love us similarly.

Even self-love is quite essential. Of course, that doesn't mean that we should be a narcissist. Self-love includes self-esteem. Often looking at others, doubts arise in our minds like - Should I be more like her? Am I not good? Why is she so good at everything?. Instead of doubting ourselves, we should love ourselves.

Love is not only for people but for our work too. With passion and love for our work, we can achieve anything!

'Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage.'

The World of Television - Simar Kaur

Hey, 'how you doin'?'. This infamous dialogue, iconic, I might add, is a signature of Joey from the hit sitcom 'Friends'. I honestly couldn't count how many times it had made me laugh, even when I was at my lowest.

The perfect life of cinema where everything seems to lead to a happy ending is the perfect run-away for me when my life seems shattered. Whenever my life seems too much to handle, I run away to my imaginary friends, with whom I can share everything. The amazingly sarcastic Chandler, the hopeless romantic Ted dedicated to finding 'The One', the motherly nature of Lily, the overprotective Finn, the 'drowning with creativity' Barney, the 'smart guy' Sheldon, they all are the friends I never had. I get scolded every single day for watching television way too much. But the truth is that I love to live another life, and coming back to my regular boring, uninteresting life just seems hectic.

Even if they are just a figment of someone's imagination, they bring joy to me, and I feel happy spending my time with them. Watching television always brings me joy, and I would like to thank them through this article. I am tremendously confused about what I want to do when I grow up. But a part of me wants to pursue the arts – acting, singing and dancing. But um, I am a terrible dancer, but I got a good throat, and over the years, after watching shows, I can somehow cry on cue. So, let's focus on the first two arts that I mentioned.

Don't you want to pursue a more professional career? Nobody asked you, Patrice! That's precisely how contradicting the voices in my heart are. While one part of me wants to become a professional employee with an acclaimed job like a doctor, accountant, lawyer, or engineer, the other part wants to spread the joy I experienced while watching my favourite tv shows and movies. So, frankly, I want to be an actor. But I don't know if I'm down for it, especially considering my stage fear.

When I lost my grandfather, these TV shows and movies helped me in the magnitude of words I cannot express. WandaVision may not be the kind of TV show that teaches you a life lesson, but the line that stood by me was 'What is grief if not love persevering?'. That changed my perspective, and I want this grief to stay with me for years to come.

So many dialogues changed my perception of life and helped me while still giving me joy. 'The biggest mistake would be not to make that mistake because then you'll go your whole life not knowing if something was a mistake or not.' 'It's one thing to not want it. It's another thing to be told you can't have it.' These are a few of the most tear-jerking lines spoken by the characters. But the line that I relate to now is 'I realized that I'm searching for what I really want in life. And you know what? I have absolutely no idea what that is.' Maybe I'll study to become a doctor or engineer in a few years. But perhaps, just possibly, I might be spreading the kind of joy I grew up experiencing.

But I will realize that I can't run to the past just because it seems familiar and because I'm comfortable with it. I will never be ready to face these obstacles, but life goes on, and you have to catch up with it one way or the other. This stuff is more straightforward said than done. So, I am aware there will be a day when I feel happier and satisfied. There will be a day when I'll share that happiness with people I will love while growing up. But just not today, just not right now…

And that is friends, how I met the world of television.

For healthy lives for everyone,
And that bad times don't touch anyone!

Let's wake up with a happy morning,
And exercise a bit which will surely be rewarding!

You can even stand on your toes.

It will free your mind from unnecessary information.

The Art of Storytelling - Rishona Chopra

Storytelling ain't something everybody can do,
You need some content and rhythm too!
A little music with some effects,
Everything should be set and perfectly correct.
Just add some feelings,
The story could be lovely, so it works like healing!
Just add some voice modulation and thought,
So it stays in people's minds as if it was taught.
The story could have a moral,
Or a quarrel.
All you need to do is hook the audience,
By being a little more patient!
Like in a movie theatre where people feel the water splash,
Hook them with your words, so they clap with a clash.
Make people feel like they were in the story
Make them feel all happy with glory.
The fundamental trick is just to feel the theme,
And the story will come out like a beautiful dream!
Along with storytelling, we need to be good listeners too,
We need to understand the story and try our best to reflect too.
If you know how to tell a story,
Make one yourself and tell me the story quickly!

Omoiyari - Rishona Chopra

Omoiyari is the Japanese art of compassion. It is a form of selfless empathy and compassion. It is when you put yourself in their shoes. Japan uses Omoiyari as in their country; care, consideration, and kindness underpin all aspects of daily life in Japan.

The most important part is that they don't force anyone to do it it is simply their lifestyle. It is just about making others happy and comfortable, and as they say, "Make Others Happy, and you will be happy too"!

"Know the pain of others by pinching yourself."

Poem for my mother - Arav Agarwal

This poem is dedicated to my Mother on Mother's day. Our Mothers are like role models in daily life. They nurture us, support us in everything we do and selflessly work to see us happy.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers.

Thank you, mom, for doing so much for me;
You always make sure that I have a feeling of glee!

I love spending time with you;
You always taught me the value of being true!

Thank you so much again for supporting me in the journey of sports and studies till now;
For me, you are the leading example to whom I can bow!

Totto-chan - Anvesha Rana

On the first day of May 2022, we started reading the book Totto-chan, the little girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. This book is based on actual events, and the real-life Totto-chan is today a celebrated television actress in Japan. During World War 2 in Tokyo, a different school with railroad cars as classrooms was opened by an extraordinary man Sosaku Kobayashi, the founder and headmaster of the place. The school followed other teaching and learning methods; consequently, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi wanted to tell everyone about this place through her book 'Totto-chan'.

The characters that we have met till now are Totto-chan, her mother, her teacher and the stationmaster. Totto-chan is a young, chirpy girl who is full of life. She is bursting with curiosity and an eagerness to learn. Totto-chan is different from most other kids who want to just lead a simple life, whereas Totto-chan is never out of options about who she wants to become. Still, her lovable personality is always supported by her mother. Totto-chan's mother is a calm and composed lady who lets Totto-chan be who she truly is and wants her daughter to always be happy. Totto-chan gets expelled from her school, and her mother doesn't tell her about this since she doesn't want to alter Totto-chan's confidence.

The teacher at Totto-chan's previous school was a young, focused and practical lady though she was rigid in her terms and observed Totto-chan only as a pest in her class. Totto-chan and her mother met the stationmaster collecting tickets; he was a considerate and helpful fellow. He proposed that Totto-chan could work with his son since both wanted to work at the station.

The author of this book is a Japanese actress, voice actress, World Wide Fund for Nature advisor, and Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. She is well known for her charitable works and is considered one of the first Japanese celebrities to achieve international recognition.

If I ever have a book about myself like Totto-chan, I would want it to be an autobiography because only I am aware of many things about my life. Also, certain personal aspects need to be added to a book. So, I would love to have an autobiography about myself.

Today Is The Day When You Define For Yourself - Arav Agarwal

Reflection of the chapter Today Is The Day When You Define For Yourself from the book My Good School ~ Where Passion Meets Education by Sandeep Dutt.

I was really inspired after reading the chapter - Today Is the Day When You Define for Yourself. The chapter is about decision making, and every day we have a choice to choose the wisest option for ourselves. The line with which I connected deeply was that whenever you make decisions listen to your inner voice to make the right decision. Also, the counsellor we need for counselling is our inner self, which helps us act as a counsellor; we only have to start listening to it.

There have been many times when I also had to make decisions and choose for myself. As I reflect back, I think it has helped me become better and more confident. What I have learned is that when we make choices, we should be kind enough to think about ourselves and others. And this will keep us happy.

Honesty - Avni Karmarkar

The Honest Boy
Once, there was an impoverished boy named Paul. He lived with his family. His parents worked hard to raise their son. Paul was a very good boy and always spoke the truth. His parents taught him that "Honesty is the best policy!"

One day, the King visited Paul's small village, and all the villagers came out to greet the King. The King was giving away cookies and candy. Paul and the villagers crowded near the King's carriage to try to get some gifts from the King. Finally, the King got to Paul and gave him a box full of cookies and candy. Paul was so excited that he immediately rushed home to share the candy with his family.

When Paul returned home, he noticed a beautiful ring among all the candy.
He thought to himself that this ring could make him rich. And he and his family no longer had to worry about having enough food to eat. After thinking about what to do all day, Paul decided to return the ring to the King.

Paul went to the palace and returned the King's ring. The King was very thankful to Paul and said to him, "Son, this is my favourite ring! You are a sincere boy, and I want to reward you with lots and lots of gold coins!" When Paul's parents learned about his honesty, they became delighted.

When Paul came home, his parents hugged him. Paul was a wealthy boy from that day, and his family never went hungry again.

Importance of Happiness Story - Anaghaa Gawde and Hardik Rane

Once upon a time…

There were two kids. Rahul and Reeta. They were both brothers and sisters.

One day, while playing with their ball, they broke their mother’s favourite jar! They were blaming each other. Their mother heard their angry, irritating voices. When she came into the lobby, she was surprised by seeing her jar was broken.

“Rahul did it, mother!” said Reeta.

“No, mama! She’s lying!” said Rahul.

“None of you will go outside until you tell the truth”, said the mother irritatingly.

Rahul and Reeta felt terrible for what they had done. They went to their mother, who was in the kitchen.

“Mother, Rahul and I broke the jar while playing with the ball”, said Reeta.

Instead of an angry face, “Kids! You told me the truth, I am thrilled”, exclaimed their mother.
A confused look rose up. The next day, the kids counted their piggy bank’s money and brought a new jar for their mother. They felt happy for they told the truth.

Forgiveness - Arav Agarwal

Reflection on the chapter forgiveness from the book Is Your Child Ready to Face the World? By Dr Anupam Sibal

I got to know about forgiveness for the first time when I read Dr Anupam Sibal’s book and learned about the magic forgiveness creates. I understood that forgiveness is setting a person free and discovering the person was you itself as when we don’t forgive, we don’t feel good, and it is we who suffer, but if we forgive, then it is we who feel happy.

I had no experience of forgiving someone or someone who has forgiven me. If I happen to meet with such knowledge, I will always keep in my mind that forgiving people is forgiving ourselves.

There are beautiful examples in the book of Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi who were always forgiving. Nelson Mandela forgave the people responsible for putting him inside the jail for 32 years, and Mahatma Gandhi forgave all people who did wrong with him.

I will never forget that Forgiving is the key to peace and happiness.

Happiness - Rananjay Rajput

Once upon a time, there was a tomb raider,
Who still was a seventh-grader!

She was a martial arts champ and a pro
trader.

She had skills, by performing, she gave
people thrills.

In the city was spread a piece of news,
That there is a treasure on top of Mount Zeus!

She heard the news and wanted to “RAID!”
As people said,
The mountain Zeus made.

She quickly asked her mom and dad,
By wondering the consequences they were sad.

She said to them, “don’t worry,”
And left her house in a hurry.

She reached the mountain,
Through a beautiful fountain.

But understood it wasn’t going to be fun.
She passed through some thorns.
Heard some battle horns.

She dodged some arrows.
And fought some Pharaohs.

Finally, she saw the treasure.
Her heart filled with pleasure.

She opened the crate.
Her heart was in discontent.
There were just some papers and a silver coin.

She then reached her house in a shock,
She went to her room and put on the lock.

She thought that her adventure was a complete mess.
The next day she was interviewed by the town press.

She was happy, not more, not less.
In her achievement, she found happiness!

Happiness - Anish Gaitonde

I wanted to share my experience of coding, which gave me happiness.

After coding on other projects for a long time, I came across Code Better (Master)'. It looked interesting, so I clicked on it and started coding. After coding for a month or so, I finished my project. Its features were: 5 block categories, sprite information, different button to start and stop, etc. I was thrilled to make a coding app that was scratch in another coding platform.

Happiness - Asmi Patankar

Happiness does not have any material value. It is priceless. I feel happy when I have fun, read books, dance, talk with my friends, see new places, and much more. Whenever I do any of these activities, I feel happy. For one thing, whenever I see dogs, I feel thrilled. Since I feel so glad, I remember those experiences. And when I think about the memories, I feel happy.

Happiness - Unnati Jamdar

When I was a young kid, I always wanted a pet. I wanted a cat or a dog, but sadly my parents won't allow me. One fine day a cat suddenly appeared and started meowing. I was in shock; the poor cat was sitting alone and was searching for food. I couldn't resist, so my friends and I decided to comfort her. From that day onwards, she was our best friend, and within a couple of days, my family was ready to adopt the cat. This was where my happiness increased, and now she is a part of our family.
