Determination - Yashraj Sharma

"A dream does not become a reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work".
- Colin Powell

Determination is a state of mind that we ought to have when we are doing work; it becomes most helpful when we are doing something we are struggling with.

Let me tell you about one of my life experiences:

I will tell you about my Nani; she has always been a very hardworking and persistent woman. She has been a Principal of a school for underprivileged students for the last 38 years. When she joined, the school's strength was only around 200,  and the classes were only till the 5th grade, but since she has joined the school, it has progressed a lot. There are 1000+ students, and classes are till the 8th grade. Because of her determination, endurance and hard work to make the school progress to its fullest. She was also awarded the president award in 2009 by our former president Mrs Pratibha Patel for the same. She is my role model.

Here, I want to share my own experience also.

I am not a drawing person. One day, my mom suggested that I should join calligraphy classes. Initially, I was not sure whether I could continue with the lessons. But it's been a year now, I have learnt two types of calligraphy skills...and I have started taking an interest in drawing too. This happened due to my firm determination and willpower.

So, in the end, I would like to say that determination is the only thing that we need to move forward whenever we are doing an arduous task or failing in doing a task.

Friendship - Avantika Subramanian

Friendship is a connection between two people who would do everything to protect you and have fun with you, and it makes you feel better. I have experienced something similar. I was coming to school when some kids made fun of me. I started crying because I was pretty sensitive back then. I went to my class, put on my bag and put my head down. My friend noticed this and told my teacher. She told me that my name was unique and there was no reason that I should cry. That made me feel better. I told my parents that this had happened. They told me that it was okay and I shouldn’t cry. I am speaking about this story because my friend noticed that I was crying. Your friend will help you too because they are our friends and help us when needed. In conclusion, we must cherish the Friendship we have with people who make us laugh and help us when in need.

Friendship - Arjun Verma

Friendship is one of the things that is very nice,

And it also doesn’t have a price,

If you have a friend in your land,
He will definitely lend a hand,

So, everyone, make a friend,
They will be someone on whom you can depend.

The unprivileged - Rishona Chopra

Having trust,
And create a new bond,
And respond,
Is simply to adjust,

To the silent cries,
And let them rise,
They shall know that they are worth,
They are here on this Earth,

To create a future,
They don’t need a ruler,
They are much more than we think,
But we make them shrink!

Wonder who ‘they’ are in this poem? They are the unprivileged who are shown useless from their looks and way of living, but they are, after all, humans, suitable? They have taken birth on this Earth so they have as much right as we do. We have ignored their silent cries even knowing that they can change the world with a bit of education. We just need to trust them.

Friendship - Arnav Chawla

Once I was walking on the road, I saw a beggar. Out of curiosity, I started noticing his lifestyle. He slept on cardboard, he didn’t have many clothes, and I could feel his loneliness. I asked him if he had any friends or relatives to talk to. Surprisingly, he didn’t know the meaning of friendship! I told him that the importance of this term is a friendly relationship where people are friendly and care for each other. He happily agreed to be my friend. After that, we both used to talk. I managed to give him a job in my office as an assistant, and a year later he became the manager! We are still friends and shall always be.

Never see how rich or poor a person is; see their heart. They may also think that I should have someone to talk to, play with, and share my feelings. Just like that beggar, oh sorry, the manager needed a friend.

Friendship - Janya Mathur

My best friends are trees. My friend the tree helps me in many things, such as giving me oxygen, food, furniture and shelters for my other friends - the animals.

One day I went on a trip with my family. As it was very sunny, I found a tree and told my father to take a rest under the tree, but suddenly I saw my animal friends! I saw monkeys and birds, so we gave them some food.

I have two more friends; they are Aryama and Aarohi. One day I went for a picnic with my friends and family, including Aryama and Aarohi. I was walking on the path, and suddenly a stone appeared, but I didn't see it, and I slipped off. Aryama turned, picked me up and then she called my mother.

Aarohi, on the other hand, had helped me when I was in school. Three years ago, I couldn't tie my shoe, so Aarohi came and said, 'let me help you, then she helped me. These two friends of mine are beautiful, strong, brave, truthful and sincere.

Friendship is lovely, so tell your friends that you are precious!

Thank you!!!
