International Yoga Day - Ritu Parihar

International Yoga Day
Today our school celebrated 7th International Yoga Day. Everyone participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The session was conducted by Rahul Sir and Abhay Sir. It was started with our Principal Ma'am's message to practice yoga in our daily lives. Then, we performed several asanas virtually, and the benefits were explained.

Yoga is the only process in which you can exercise without any equipment. The light that yoga sheds on life are something special. Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines originating in ancient India. It is an art and science of healthy living.

There are lots of benefits to practising yoga. It increases your flexibility and helps you to build strength. It improves your posture and helps to keep your joints healthy.

Yoga is a powerful mindfulness practice. It reduces stress and lowers blood pressure. In addition, yoga's incorporation of meditation and breathing can improve a person's mental well-being. Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness, increases body awareness, relieves stress, relaxes the mind, centres attention, and sharpens concentration. Therefore, yoga should be part of our daily routine to live a happy and healthy life.

Happiness - Chahna Gandhi

What does happiness mean to me?

Happiness to me is an important part of life, as it brings in positive vibes and makes one’s day better.

What makes me happy?

I would say there's nothing that makes me happy, nor I can’t list all of them. Here are a few:

 1. Being with friends: This always brings joy and cool vibes as the fun n frolic makes me happy.

 2. Music: Listening to music always helps me forget things and lifts up my mood, which obviously makes me happy “... and if it’s my genre, then it’s much fun.”

3. Being with family: Well! Who doesn’t like to be with family, share good and embarrassing memories, and laugh at them together?

4: Dance: Dance is one thing where my mind is totally on the beats and music. It takes over my body, refreshes it and helps me open up my mind to new ideas.

 How to pass on happiness?

There are a lot of ways by which you can either share or pass your happiness to others.  You can suggest ways of being happy. This can help them go through their hard times by creating their own happy zones. Another way of passing on happiness is to care for them. Help them in things they can’t do or need help. This will make them happy as they know that they can believe in you during their rough times.

My Family and Their Happiness - Gaurangi Rastogi

We, humans, are social beings. We have family, friends, and relatives. Since this Covid-19, we have been separated from our families. Now, let me tell you, what does family mean to me?  My family means a place where I can be safe physically and mentally. My family means a culture my world resides in. My family means a shield that protects me from bad influences. My family is like a body in which everything works in harmony.

My family means everything to me, and I want to see them always happy. My family makes me happy, and so even I should try and keep them happy. Some simple ways in which I give happiness to my family are:

● by bringing good marks and doing well at school.

● by spending time with them instead of playing on gadgets.

● by teaching them something

● by supporting them in bad times

 ● by not being stubborn

● by sending them letters and emails every weekend from school.

Happiness and Me - Saisha Jain

In today’s blog, I will talk about happiness, what does happiness mean to me, and how do I pass on this happiness. There are so many things that make me happy. I am painting, being creative, listening to music when I am praised for my good deeds, and doing what l love.

I am a foodie, so yes, having good food makes me happy too.

Now, what happiness means to me?
For me, happiness is when I feel content. Happiness is a heart filled to the brim, celebrating little victories. Happiness is when I do something good when I create an aura of goodness in which every creature is satisfied.

How do I make others happy?
First, I will ask them to smile and give them reasons to smile. This is the easiest way to pass on happiness. Next, I will give them a compliment, making them happy and making me happy. Everyone loves to be complimented, and so they would love to hear these compliments. Now comes the sense of gratitude. I will teach this to everyone, which will help create an incredibly positive vibe in our environment.
I could also arrange a big surprise get-together for family and friends to make them happy.
So, that’s my big splurge about my view of happiness. And writing about it makes me happy once again!

Happiness - Avika Singhal

Happiness is the feeling of contentment or when life fulfils your needs with a lack of worries. When people are successful, safe or lucky, they feel happy.

To me, happiness is my inner peace and satisfaction. Happiness does not have to be the same for everybody. It may differ from person to person.

I am happy when I am living a moment fully like when I play basketball when I go out for a vacation with my family, when I play with slime when I go out shopping, when I eat my favourite food and when I have money, and I can help the poor. Such things light up my mood, and I put aside all my stress and live in the moment.

Now the things can you pass your happiness to others so that they are happy too! Everyone likes being loved, right? Yes, everyone likes being loved and cared for. So if you follow the following things, then you can pass your happiness.

  • Pass a smile to them when you get a chance
  • Help them in their work
  • Show them love and respect
  • Show that you care
  • Be in a happy mood around them
  • Tell jokes to each other(not offensive ones) laugh with them
  • Share your things and don’t remind them they favour repeatedly
  • Be a good friend and keep secrets so that they can be warm and comfortable around you

Ipshita Rathore - My School, My Happy Place

My Good School
'FABINDIA' was not a school to start with. It is a famous textiles brand known the world over. But its owner Mr William Bissell decided to serve the local artisans' community and return to his motherland. With this noble thought, he initiated the establishment of The Fabindia School - the first English Medium School in the whole Bali region. The dream team of our board members played a major part. It has been 28 years since its establishment, and we are growing with new learning experiences every day.

We have been a part of many programs such as the My Good School program (MGS), Learning Forward Program, Exchange Programs, IIMUNs, and many more. All these programs added more value to our education. We have become more interactive, collaborative, and most importantly, grown into responsible citizens through these programs. Our school has fulfilled the primary goal of education: "Education is not limited to textbooks but refers to the overall development of a child". It's been a wonderful journey and continues with more enthusiasm and curiosity to learn every aspect of life.

Happiness - Linisha Agarwal

What happiness means to me?
Not everyone has a similar point of interest from which they derive happiness.  For me, happiness means fun, enjoyment, blissfulness etc. Happiness is a feeling of contentment, that life is just as it should be.
Happiness is when you fulfil your goals or aims. That feeling to me is happiness. When I am thrilled, I feel that I am IN SEVENTH HEAVEN.

What gives me happiness?
I feel like having a whale of a time when my brother teases me, it is too much fun to ride a roller-coaster or other kinds of dangerous slides, and when I spend time somewhere out of town with my family, it makes me feel like I am on the top of the world. Cycling when a light wind blows along with some music surely refreshes my mood, so you can say that I am happy at that time. And last but not least, Playing PS4 with my brother is fun.

How can we make a person happy?
Frequently, cities tell you to donate to charities rather than giving to panhandlers. That is great advice but listen to your inner voice. You should give to a particular person, as this may make someone who is genuinely in need very happy. We can spread happiness by saying ‘Thanks’; by donating items to needy ones; gifting presents because everyone loves presents; listening to people when they talk, so many times all people want is someone to listen to them. Instead of fighting it, just sit and let them talk. Caring for someone is the best way to make others happy, and in turn, I, too feel happy.

Patience - Maheshpal singh

Patience is more of a skill that can be learned and needs constant nurturing. It is the state of being that occurs between experience and reaction. Whether you’re trying to be patient with yourself, others, or life, it seems to always involve the experience of dealing with delays or obstacles. By cultivating a practice of patience, you’re able to let go of things outside your control and live with less stress, anxiety, and frustration.

Patience is considered to be highly crucial for every individual in the world. Besides, it is also stated that the people who can wait long achieve better things than those with no patience since it is impossible to acquire success in a single day.

Through patience, an individual learns about the importance of effort and hard work and not only success. It is false to believe that everything, including happiness, can be obtained only through accomplishments. When you look at what it means to have patience, you’re ultimately talking about dealing with your thoughts and emotions. As a spiritual being, there is an unbounded, limitless presence within you that is constantly seeking expression.

Honesty - Khush Rajpurohit

Khush Rajpurohit
Being honest is essential in life due to the fact it solves many troubles and leads to peace and success. Honesty is the wealth that offers trustworthy people a lot of trust and appreciation in life. Honesty is the best policy as the reason is the foundation of a well-functioning relationship. Further, it nourishes many lives in several ways. Here, trust is the basis of any relationship that is received honestly.

People usually find it difficult, to be honest, because it is quite challenging to maintain honesty. Honesty means being truthful to a person in all aspects of life. It includes not lying to anyone, not hurting anyone through bad habits, activities, or behavior. An honest person never gets involved in morally wrong activities. Honesty does not break any rules and regulations, be discipline, behave well, speak the truth, be punctual, and honestly help others. Honesty helps a person to get around, lots of happiness, and blessings from the supreme power, and faith in many things. Being honest is very beneficial in real life. It is not something that one can buy or sell. This is a good habit that one can attain through practice.

2017 July, my dad felt worth sharing the importance of honesty. I was an average student in grade 8th, lazy and irresponsible. My father's words were like a kind of miracle which changed my life. He said, "Khush, we should also need to focus on our duty and uphold our responsibilities and should always need to be honest towards our work." Further, he added "Life should be great, not long and being honest towards our work is one of the most important things which have been in the list of values required being successful. You must acquire this quality. Laxman was honest with Lord Rama while Vibhishana wasn't. That’s why Lord Rama possesses the ability to defeat Ravana, more powerful and wealthier than Lord Rama. So we conclude that honesty must be part of your ethics." The spark lighted up me. I started working hard, studied well, and was able to secure the third position in academics.

Courage - Dinesh Kumar

Dinesh Kumar
Courage is bravery or strength to do something that could be dangerous. An example of courage is the ability to stand up to a bully. The state or quality of mind or spirit enables one to face danger and fear with self-possession, confidence, resolution, bravery. It might seem that patience and courage are dispositions that tend in different directions, reflecting different strengths.

Every human being on this planet is given the gift of courage. However, there are very few who take advantage of this gift and put it to good use. And I used this courage for developing my personality. It is the ability to work one’s way through a tough situation. Being patient and courageous makes me so confident that I can handle all situations.

Courage gives me confidence and patience to encourage my juniors and colleagues. It gives me strength that helps me to speak in public. To many, courage is equated with taking risks. It takes courage to write a book or stand in front of an audience to speak. But in time, I’ve come to understand the profound truth that courage is being patient.

Responsibility - Dhawan Choudhary

When you do what you have promised, people see you as a responsible and reliable person. This is quite admirable, as many people won’t deal with irresponsible individuals. They will give their trust to friends they can count on, and give their business to companies they admire. A responsible person can be trusted to act without needing strict supervision because they are accountable for their behaviour.

During this pandemic time, we were allowed to learn through an online platform that was Google Classroom. This kind of study was new for all of us, even for the teachers & also for the students. In online learning, we were supposed to stay at home and study. But most of the students did not take the responsibility to utilize this golden opportunity to learn. In beginning, I was also not taking the classes regularly. But then I saw the hard work of teachers who made so much effort to send us the work subject-wise and that too regularly. Then I decided to take the responsibility for my learning. After that, I always attended the class on time. I also submitted the projects, homework to my teachers and I also took responsibility to tell my friends to attend online classes. I enjoyed learning at home. I also attended some webinars & participated in quizzes. It was a new learning experience for me.

So, in the end, I want to say that, you can only take the responsibility of others when you, yourself are disciplined & honest in your work.

Importance of Trees - Gourvi Rathore

Let us hear from Gourvi Rathore of Class UKG about the importance of trees. She is very aware of our environment, as she is asking to grow many plants, save trees and water.

Trees are an important part of our world.  They provide wood for making paper.  They provide homes for all of the insects, birds, and other animals. Many types of fruits and nuts come from trees. Trees also help to keep our air clean and our ecosystems healthy. They provide us with oxygen.

We already have done enough destruction to the environment so let us all do our bit to save our environment by planting more and more trees.
