Friendship -Tanvi Kumar

The best gift is to have an honest friend.

Friendship in my life means a person’s trust, love and affection for another person. Friends are our gift from God. Our family, especially, siblings are our best friends. A true friend always helps us without expecting the same from us. Friends accept us as we are; they don’t want to change our nature.

I want to share some experiences with my friends –

·       While I was new to Gyanshree School, I made new friends. They never let me feel new; they always talked to me and made me feel comfortable.

·       When I was in DPS Indra Puram, I had a lot of friends; we visited each other’s house for birthday parties and had a great time.

I want to share a poem –

Friends

Friends are lovely,

Never let us feel lonely,

Sometimes they tell in maths how to solve wisely,

Sometimes they tell the experiment nicely,

Sometimes they tell how to dance,

And always give us their chance,

Because they are friends,

A lot of time with us they spend.

Friendship - Archita Saxena

Friendship is the basic essence of our lives. Friends make our lives better and more magical. I have many friends, but my best friend is my mother.

My mom is kind, cheerful, bright and very creative. She is always there for me, no matter whatever mistake I make. She cooks my favourite food. Once she cooked an egg, put the bread on it and again egg on top of the bread which made it so tasty that I ate entirely even though I had never consumed eggs. She helps me even if she is busy. Every day, she multitasks, like cooking, helping my sister and me, and finishing daily chores simultaneously. I am always surprised how she does that! She prepares food every day and never stops working till all of her work finishes. She is my best friend as I can share anything with her, and she always helps me without me doing something for her because a friend helps their friend without that person doing something for them.

My mom is smart because she helps me in maths and her answer is always correct. She is cheerful by her supportive spirit. She is kind and never stops helping me until I can do any difficult thing. She never stops believing and caring. She is my hero. I am ending my words with this beautiful quote by Bill Watterson: “Things are not too scary when you get a friend.”

Autobiography of a wardrobe - Rishona Chopra

Hey there! Remember me? Wait, you don't! I am your beloved wardrobe. Where you keep your clothes! Remember? Oh yes.. now you do. So let me tell you a little more about myself. I mean, you all already know me. I am famous, but I will tell you a few secrets that no one knows. So if you are reading this, you are lucky!

So, I look gorgeous to have mirrors over me, but the thing is that I can't see my beauty. Only you can see yourself. Secondly, you selfish humans put those disgusting balls in my body, those stinky naphthalene balls. To some of my friends, they are fragrant, but they are so awful to me!

To finish off, some ridiculous people keep dirty clothes in me! Like, does anybody even understand that I like being clean!

Be The Change - Arav Agarwal

Reflection on the chapter Be the Change from the book Is Your Child Ready to Face the World? by Dr Anupam Sibal.

"We must remind ourselves that one child, teacher, text, and pen can change the world when in doubt. By being the change, we can make this world a better place". - Arav Agarwal, Grade: 5C, Billabong High International School, Thane

A day at school - Shlok Rastogi

It was my first day at formal school; I was nervous because I didn’t have any old friends. As I entered my school, it was quite nice. After that, I sat at my desk. When I opened my bag, I noticed that I had left my pencil box at home. I felt like crying. Suddenly I heard a whispering sound from somewhere. I looked back and saw a boy who smiled and offered me a pencil. I was thrilled and thankful.

The next day in the dance class I learnt that he didn’t know the dance, so I explained to him some dance steps.
That smiling and caring boy, Vihaan, gradually became my best friend. It has been three years now, and we are still perfect friends; we support and encourage each other. I love to be with him. It is rightly said that a friend is one with whom “We laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more”.

Friendship - Vinki Srivastava

Vinki Shrivastava, VI,
Ahlcon Public School
Friendship is a ship that helps us cover long distances through the turbulence of our life. Friends don't judge each other; they always stay together. Happiness is having friends with the same mental disorders as yours. A true friend is one soul in two bodies. Tag your real friends, make friends who force you to level up. Friendship is not a big thing, but a million tiny items become a friendship. Friendship is the best thing because every relationship starts after being friends only. You love your mother, father, and teachers because they are your best friends before being a parent or a teacher.

I like to read quotes of great leaders as they shape my thoughts. I have fun playing games from Skating and Swimming to Hopscotch and Ludo as they are full of fun. I think little things in life give us the most joy. I also love learning about computer languages. Acting is my goal.

Appreciation - Miraya Bhatia

Let us let us appreciate
Let us believe in appreciation’s fate
Let us appreciate things now
You may ask how should we appreciate

For being appreciated, you need to appreciate
Always remember you need to believe in its fate
Let us appreciate every blessing
Trust me, it is worth expressing.
