Enjoy the present! - Rishona Chopra
"Practicing meditation and detachment can help us remain in soul consciousness and emphasise experiencing being overdoing. Our health, inner well-being and definition of success are more important than any job, salary, degree or anyone else's opinion about us. We can, therefore, consciously create a situation of peace and happiness where the rising tide of expectation is controlled. We are no longer troubled by unfulfilled needs; even the most ordinary experiences become enjoyable."
The future, the past,
Is a world that is vast.
It is a lot to wonder,
You can think about thunder,
and think if you can become a funder.
In this vast world, we forget,
That we haven't touched the present yet.
All forgotten about who we are,
We start thinking or the far.
It is truly so bizarre,
We think of the present as an old scar.
Never thinking about the present,
We forget about the pleasant.
Enjoying the moment is an art,
But I wonder how we fail despite being so smart.
Those thoughts keep popping up,
I put the present in the old cup.
Never did I ever enjoy what I have,
With the future I always began.
But today can I just relax and enjoy the present?

The Subtle Art Of Writing ЁЯУЬ - Oshi Singh
Hey, I am Oshi Singh from Gyanshree. I am also an intern at the Joy Of Learning Program. Some of you might know me because of my posts on the joy of learning diaries. I am writing this article to pay tribute to My Good School for helping me find the missing 'ME' time in my life. The Sunday School has also helped me immensely, especially as a writer.
Finding time to read every week and learning how to be a better person, the weekly conversations always help me a lot. Also, reading other people's life experiences and getting the best out of them is a new skill that I developed here at My Good School.
The teachers and interns here have become like family to me. It has made me believe that this is where passion meets education.
I am thankful to everyone here who is helping me develop into a better human being and giving me excellent life opportunities. I look forward to getting to know the people better and collaborating with them. Also, after reading this, I hope some of you would like to join our family and make it grow bigger and wiser!
People have been writing as far as mankind can recollect; we have come a long way, from random ancient letters to a modern stable form of Writing. Writing, for me, holds an extraordinary place in my heart. While writing, I find a special feeling that is a little difficult to express, but if I try, it is something like peace. It is hard to find but harder to get rid of when discovered. When I write, I feel the greatest. I feel like Alice in Wonderland or Harry Potter at Hogwarts. Nothing compares to the feeling you get when you simply write while sitting on your balcony at the height of your society's building. Watching every single bird, car and plane pass while you write. Watching everyone look so tiny except for yourself, who is busy roaming and enjoying their fantasy world. It is the closest I can get to nature while living in cities.
Writing for some is a doodle, while it is a tough row to hoe for some. The biggest misconception about Writing is that it's limited to schools and colleges, but I differ. I believe it is about an expression of thoughts. Writing is telling your tale and unravelling your thoughts on the blank page. It is about capturing your past and living your present. It is about making memories.
Writing a journal is an excellent start to mastering this art. While writing in your journal, you don't need to care about spelling and grammar or its presentation. All you have to do is write; that's how I started, and You can too! The more and more you write, the better you get at the language and, more importantly, being able to clearly convey who you are and what's on your mind. People may or may not like it, but you will become more comfortable and confident about yourself. Reading books is also a great way to start writing!
Sunday School is a live example. While we read stories of the greatest writers in history here every Sunday. We, too, write the most exciting and intriguing reflections and stories by aspiring writers. Later we post it on the Joy Of Learning Diaries, making it available for a lifetime and tracing a mark of our start.
Finally, I hope you got my point, as Writing is more than making meaningful sentences. So why don't you give it a shot right now? After all, you're never too late to miss the train, and even if you do, take a deep breath & relax. There's another one coming your way, and you are on time for YOUR train!

My Hero: My Dad - Vani Pandey
My Dad is my hero
A huge humble soul
In everything he does
He would always serve his role
But as every other father
He would annoy me with his jokes
And then I would rather
Start reciting my wise quotes
Then he would say,
"Don't call me later; call me Dad."
But I just love him this way
Cause, after all, it's the dads who are so talented at making these jokes so bad.
So I just say nothing
For the sake of his kind heart.
He is my dear Dad
Who delightfully plays his part.

Celebrating Respect - Aarika Banka
“Respect everything and everyone” that’s what all your parents taught us, haven’t they? But have you ever actually thought about it? Respect is a significant value in our lives that we often forget about. There are so many creatures on our incredible earth.
Respect means accepting somebody for who they are, even though you don’t agree with them or are different. They’re all organisms that we don’t know how important they are.
An ant? Doesn’t matter if you kill it. It is useless. Killing a few ants won’t do any harm. There are so many things that we need to learn to respect, the decisions of people, the lives of people and organisms and endless things.
Respect is something that we all deserve. It is not just others we need to learn to respect. Sometimes, people think they are less than others. They become “insecure” and have low self-respect. We need to know to respect ourselves and our lives. It is not just others.
Respecting friends, family, strangers, animals, biotic things, abiotic things, ourselves, our lives, and others’ lives bring us back to the time our parents were teaching us the life value “Respect everything and everyone”. Now I can understand what they meant at that time.

Science and it's journey- Rishona Chopra
Here are some well-known, established scientific facts compared to the spiritual knowledge found in the 1800s.
1. The non-existence of absolute rest. This is a well-understood consequence of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle: the final temperature of zero Kelvin is impossible to reach. In other words, nothing remains at rest, and motion defines all things:
Divine and all-encompassing - Wisdom hath ordained that motion be an inseparable concomitant of existence, whether inherently or accidentally, spiritually or materially. – Abdu'l Baha, Tablet of the Universe, provisional translation.
2. The non-existence of a void. Current quantum field theory stipulates no empty space. Scientists now know that freedom is not open; it is a field from which particles pop in and out of existence. Actually, a vacuum can never reach absolute zero energy, which means no void can possibly exist:
..a void is impossible and inconceivable. – Ibid.
3. A non-physical continuum mediates the propagation of electromagnetic waves. Scientists call this intangible reality the quantum field, while the Baha’i teachings call it the ether:
Even the ether, the forces of which are said in natural philosophy to be heat, light, electricity and magnetism, is an intelligible and not a sensible reality. – Abdu'l Baha, Some Answered Questions, newly revised edition, pp. 93-94.
4. This continuum gives rise to both matter and electromagnetism. Science now understands that the “solid objects” we think of as real and the electromagnetic fields we can measure have no actual existence. The Baha’i teachings agree:
… the substance and primary matter of contingent beings is the ethereal power, which is invisible and only known through its effects, such as electricity, heat, and light — these are vibrations of that power, and this is established and proven in natural philosophy and is known as the ethereal substance. – Abdu'l Baha from a tablet of , provisional translation by Keven Brown.
5. Gravity drives stellar formation. We now understand that the force of gravity, long thought of as simply a force of attraction, actually plays a significant role in the creation of the universe itself:
By the operation of this attractive force those holy and resplendent suns, with their luminous worlds, satellites and planets, circling and orbiting in their heavens, at once exerted attraction and were subject to it, induced motion and were themselves moved, began orbiting and set into orbit other bodies, shone forth and caused others to shine. – Abdu'l Baha, Tablet of the Universe, provisional translation.
6. The universe originated from a singularity. Because of the cosmic microwave background in space and because the universe continues to expand, most scientists now believe that a single body—a singularity—once contained all mass, energy, and spacetime. Compressed to an infinitely dense point, that initial singularity gave birth to our universe:
When He purposed to call the new creation into being, He sent forth the Manifest and Luminous Point from the horizon of His Will … – Abdu'l Baha
