Appreciation - Rehan Raza

Praising anybody for their task can increase the confidence of the receiver. The word “Appreciation” looks smaller from the outside, but it can help achieve anything if used properly. This word is the most powerful word for motivating someone. If someone gets appreciated for a specific task, then that person always gives the best in everything.

This word is motivational, carries a vast power inside and can turn negative thoughts into positive ones. This is the magic of appreciation. Many people know how to make use of this word while others recognize its depth and meaning. If this word is used for a person, they can carry out any problematic task with low input energy. Many organizations and multinational companies are known for their culture of appreciation. This is the main reason behind the happiness of their employees. If there is a difficult task ahead and a team is unfamiliar with how to carry out that task, the team leader or manager tries to appreciate members or members for their previous task. This can increase the inner power of that member.

Appreciating someone’s efforts is not an act that makes you feel shy, but it’s an act that proves your character. This act shows that you are living down to earth. Therefore it is necessary to appreciate a person whenever possible. It is an excellent way to make things easier and simpler.

Cooperation - Rishona Chopra

Cooperation is the time when you adjust with someone whether you like it or not. It is when you help someone not caring about yourself and putting their needs before yours.
Like, if you have a friend who needs immediate help and you have to go to a party so you could adjust and go to the party a little late and help your friend instead.
Now I’d like to present a story on cooperation-

   The Perfect Project

Once there was a class who was assigned a project. As they started to begin -
“ Listen my plan is to first design the template that’s all that matters”
“ No we will research first and that is what I’ll do only me”
“I will do the research too”
“No we will draw first”

The entire class started to fight for what they shall do. Each of them wanted things to go their way. Then one girl stepped up and said “Wait. If we fight like this we will never be able to make a good project. Let’s listen to everybody’s ideas and put them together.” A boy said “I’m with you” Then another girl said “ What ! My idea is the best, no need for other’s ideas”

Just then the teacher came in and said “ Class, remember to work in a team and I’ll ask you questions in the end about how you made the project and how you felt about it, so cooperate with each other.” Saying that the teacher left the class.

“ Now we will have to work together and cooperate.” said another boy.
And that’s what they did. They collaborated and focused on all ideas and worked together. They cooperated by not getting angry even if someone gave the silliest idea.
Once their project was finished their teacher appreciated them for such a good project. When questions were asked there were no complaints or unhappy answers as the entire class got the chance to put their points in the presentation.

How often have you stopped to smell the roses? The saying refers to living in the present and is not all about smelling the roses next to you on the table?

It is essential that we each appreciate the current moment and even list things we are thankful for. Of course, you could question why but the fact remains that most of us have this tendency to take our loved ones, including our current circumstances, for granted. The one lesson that none of us ever seem to learn until too late is that nothing is permanent in life. Our loved ones, from our parents, grandparents, teachers, and siblings, will not always be around to help us out in our time of need.

This is why it is essential to appreciate all the big and small things in our lives; after all, showing our appreciation to the ones we love only validates that emotion and should help strengthen it further. It is the little things that matter a lot, so you just need to take a moment to sit down, do some introspection, write a list of all the things you are thankful for and start showing your appreciation for the same. Moreover, appreciating the finer things in your life should serve to highlight the fact that you are indeed lucky in more ways than one. You could tell your mother how lucky you are that she is still around and tell her that you love her. That should definitely make her day.

Appreciation is all about appreciating the people around you, and your very act of expressing affection should serve to validate your relationship and take it to a whole new level.

Doing so should start a cascading motion as you become more of an optimist. When expressing your appreciation to your loved one, keep it short and natural; all that your loved one wants to hear is what you feel deep in your heart. The value of direct appreciative action can go a long way in cementing any relationship, even one that is fraught with all the usual fights and hostilities. Just remember to keep the message direct, to the point; no one wants to hear a long-winded appreciation message so keep it short. And even get them a few things just to show your appreciation, and remember that all they want to know is what is deep inside your heart.

Appreciation - Himanshi Rajpurohit

Appreciation means recognizing someone's good qualities. If you can acknowledge someone's good qualities, then you should appreciate them for that. Now you would think about it that appreciating anyone does not matter that much. But it's totally wrong because all those trying new things need your admiration the most. If we give value to their thoughts, then more desire will increase in their mind towards that work. For example, as I am making sketches, painting, portraits, etc. I am getting so much praise and appreciation from people, and that's why it encourages me to perform much better. I would like to share a poem composed by me to thank all those who appreciated me.

Thanks to those who hated me,
You made me stronger.
Thanks to those who loved me,
You made me go further.
Thanks to those who stayed with me,
You showed me true friendship.
Thanks to those who encouraged me,
You made me feel like I was worth it.

Confidence - Rishona Chopra

Confidence is a feeling where you feel capable. Where you believe in yourself. A thought of confidence could be -
“ I can do it.”
This means that whatever you have as your goal, you can achieve it. You only have to believe in yourself. That is, you have to be confident.
Another meaning of confidence is to not be nervous. It is to express your thoughts without feeling nervous. It’s not that you have to not think before you say something or do something. It’s just to not fear what someone else will think of you.
Now I’d like to present a short story on confidence-

                                            The magic of Confidence

Once there was a young girl who used to live in the countryside. She was beautiful, intelligent, kind and simple. There was only one thing that she lacked, and that was confidence. She was nervous and had lost belief in herself.
One day when she was crossing a farm, she saw that the crops were all gone! Surprised, she went to the farmers and asked where the crops were. The farmers tearfully told her that it was one of those soldiers of the evil king of Wales. The king who everyone feared of. The soldiers had taken it all as the droughts caused crop production in Wales to below. So the king ordered to take all the crops from the nearby farms all for himself!
The girl felt angry at the king but was too nervous to say anything.

When she went home, she narrated the incident and her feelings about it to her mother.
Her mother, too, was angry at the king and told her daughter why she didn’t do something about it? The girl replied,” You know that. I am just scared too.”
“Well, this is the scare you have to overcome. Just believe in yourself. I am with you, and I’m sure everyone in this town is with you,” said her mother.
“I’ll think about it,” the girl said

That night the girl had made up her mind to fight with the King and get Justice back. Just by believing in herself…
The next morning she told the entire town her plan. They all readily agreed.
That day they went to the King’s court, and the young girl said,” You have caused us problems. You took our crops away only for yourself. If you take all the food from us, we might die from hunger and then who will grow the crops? Who will serve you food? If you need food, so do we.” The King was taken back with the angry response. He himself, having a nervous daughter, was surprised that the young girl was so confident. Now he had understood the problem clearly, and to everyone’s surprise, the king apologized and promised to take care that everyone had food to eat.
I’m sure you know now what confidence is and what it can do.

Joy Of Reading - Khush Rajpurohit

Session 1, 14th November 2021

In today's world, where technology makes enormous demands on children's time, it is tough to communicate with them. On the occasion of Children's Day, an online book reading programme has launched "Joy of Reading" by My Good School to encourage reading among our students and extend communication with them. At this prestigious moment, many students attended the session to inculcate reading habits and life lessons. We believe that reading books helps us to excel in every field. Books are full of stories, knowledge, experiences, values and many more.

The session was led by our chairman Mr Dutt. We started with Dr Anupam Sibal life lessons, reading the first chapter, ' Humility' from 'Is Your Child Ready To Face The World'.

We read the chapter, understood the value of humility and learnt its importance in our life. The group was assigned tasks and shared situations that will help us experience humility.

I sincerely thank My Good School team, Our respected Chairman, Principal Ma'am, teachers and parents for their efforts. Your initiatives for helping students build life skills are indeed profoundly appreciated.

Joy Of Reading by My Good School meets every Sunday at 11 am; we read one chapter of a book, currently reading 'Is Your Child Ready To Face The World?' By Dr Anupam Sibal.

How do we do this?
Open for individuals and schools, we organise online reading sessions with children from their homes, along with their families and friends. By sharing real-life experiences on the Joy Of Learning Diaries blog, the students express themselves in any form - write, audio, video, graphic, poetry and what they enjoy the most. #ReadToLead

Happiness - Harshit Rao

Everyone wants to be happy; none of us wants to be sad or be alone. Happiness is the state of mind when we feel joyful and feel happy.

People when meeting after a long time, the feeling which comes at that time is happiness. When we lose something and find it suddenly, that is happiness. Every small thing gives happiness. Happiness is something we can't express in words, but it is something we can give to someone. If everyone gives happiness to each other, then the world would be heaven. Friends are the real source of happiness.

Happiness is the medicine for problems like depression, sadness, anxiety, etc. It's something that can save a person's life. So stay happy and make others happy.
