Appreciation - Rishona Chopra
Appreciation is to appreciate, as in to be grateful and thankful for something. Most of us have so much to appreciate, but we still take time to find mistakes and need to remember to embrace all the privileges we have and don't appreciate. There shall always be greed for more, but it's on us to know how to control it, appreciates what we have, avoids finding what we don't have and stop this greed for more.
Finding out mistakes is easier and more catchy to talk about. I faced this problem myself! Although I have a lot to appreciate, I used to find what I didn't have. I have worked on that mistake and have stopped complaining and enjoying what I have. It's a little tricky, but when you think about your home, good clothes, and education, most people might not even have you feeling happy and grateful for what you have.
Apart from appreciating the little things in our life, appreciating someone can fill a heart with joy. It can motivate someone to work harder and strive for more.
Just clapping for someone, giving them a thumbs up, or even smiling at their work can bring a smile to someone's face.
Appreciation is also a vital quality. Appreciating the little efforts done by our peers and students is essential. We each have something special about us, and instead of thinking just about ourselves, we should take the time to appreciate others. Who understands that better than our teachers? Teachers take particular time enjoying, helping, and thinking about their students. And I am sure we all can appreciate our teachers for the time they took to think about us.
At the same time, Appreciation for others shows your modesty and humbleness. Instead of thinking about ourselves, we appreciate other person's efforts. Humility and Appreciation build a good relationship between peers, two base values of a healthy classroom. Values like cooperation and respect come in when we have the base of humility ready.

Being Human - Anvesha Rana
Being human means not to profit out of someone’s weaknesses,
It means not to have eyes that see gain but that feel the pain,
It means to help without expectations and to love without getting it back,
It means to be selfless and give more, more and more
When someone leaves a seat on the bus for an old lady or man,
I understand what it is to be a human,
When someone goes out of their way to help,
I know what it is to be a human,
When a child selflessly gives away their lunch to a friend who has none,
I know what it is to be a human,
When a teacher empathizes with a kid who has suffered a loss,
I know what it is to be a human.
Being a human is the greatest asset,
We are human for a purpose and reason,
Let us not trample upon the ones who hurt us,
Forget and forgive is to be a human,
To give more and expect less is to be a human,
To offer a hand to others and walk together is to be a human,
To listen to the heart rather than the mind is to be a human,
We all are human by birth, but we must embrace it by nature.

Being Human - Amaira Bhati
Had I been another human, I would like to carry my same attitude, feelings and thoughts. There are two types of humans, a cruel human and a kind human.
Our world's population of cruel people is growing, not knowing how many sins have been attempted. As a human, I have started exploring the world ahead of me even more.
With such small eyes of a human, the human can see the limitless skies. I see humans pulling and cutting trees and plants off their roots daily when we should care more for our dying earth.
Being a human is a beautiful journey. Some humans look at the negative side, while others look at the positive side. We humans only achieve something when we look at the positive side.
I feel proud to be a human by looking at the positive side, following kindness and expressing my thoughts and feelings to other humans who genuinely believe in themselves. Last but not least, I want to be a human who can understand everyone politely and kindly. Amaira Bhati Grade IV - C Gyanshree School

Understanding - Shambhavi Nautiyal
Understanding someone inculcates one of the prettiest feelings in our hearts, feelings of concern, love and kindness, which make humans human. Understanding strengthens unity. We should all try to understand each other’s feelings at the very least instead of poking fun at each other for that or making judgements about them.

How Can I Ever Forget You? - Vani Pandey
'Come out and play. The weather is so good outside. You have been sitting there for a long time,' said Lia.
'I just want to sit here and do nothing. And you know I enjoy solitude. I don't want anybody's company,' said Amy.
'But I don't like seeing you all day in one corner. Doesn't your body ache?' Lia asked with curiosity.
'I am pretty used to being like this. Why don't you go hang out with Joe?' asked Amy.
'You know I am your sister, and I still care for you a lot. You expect me to leave you just the way you are,' said Lia.
'I know that. I just don't want you to waste your time caring for me. You should have forgotten me by now,' said Amy sadly.
'How can I ever do that?' asked Lia.
Just then, Lia's mother- Dory, came into the room.
'Who are you talking to, Lia? Asked Dory.
'No one, mother. Just the toys,' said Lia.
Dory smiles and leaves.
Lia sighs and continues talking to the photo.

The greatest gift - Rishona Chopra
The greatest gift we want to give to our loved ones every day, at every moment, is happiness. We spend time with them, buy them physical comforts, and support them, yet they are sometimes unhappy. Most likely, it is because we are unhappy. Happiness is energy, not matter. Just by being happy ourselves and being happy while discharging our responsibilities, our happy vibrations radiate and trigger the happiness frequency in our loved ones and uplift their state of mind to happiness.
Have you sensed that you need to make much more effort in sustaining your roles and responsibilities if your mind is unhappy? Despite your extra steps to care for and provide for them, are your family and friends unhappy with you? Does it leave you wondering what more you should have done? We often quantify our efforts and measure our loved ones’ happiness against it. The truth is, how much we do for people doesn’t matter. What matters is how happy we were while doing everything.
While caring for people or doing something for them, let us not create thoughts of stress, fear, anxiety, anger or pain. Otherwise, our negativity is sure to deplete people we do so much for, not allowing them to be happy with us. Without being happy, you cannot give happiness to others. Be happy and do everything that you need to do. It’s your energy which influences their happiness.
Remind yourself – “I am an embodiment of happiness. Being happy myself and taking care of people keeps my loved ones happy.” When you experience unconditional happiness, you have nothing but happiness to give everyone. You don’t even have to offer; it automatically radiates. From today, let bliss be your natural way of living. Let nothing and no one pull you down. In every scene, contribute towards creating a happy family, workplace and world by always being happy.

Thank You My Gurus - Gaurangi Rastogi
This story is about my life which took me on a new path of achievement….
Date-1st April 2017
The day is crucial for me because I joined my school this year. This year was so topsy-turvy as it is difficult to settle without parents.
Life took off like a rocket from that year. My first achievement was to win a merit position in elocutions, quizzes, and co-curricular activities. I never won a single prize at my school in my hometown. Soon after, I met some very good people in my life who gave a kickstart to a better version of myself; guess who they are? They were Sandeep Sir, Sumali Mam, and Abhikshit Sir. Let me tell you why they are my most prominent gurus who gave me a chance to know myself a little more.
Sandeep, Sir- He gave me the motivation to work, understand my capabilities, and gave me back my immense passion for Books which I lost for a few years because of a few people who used to tease me and made me so upset that for weeks I started questioning myself that “What is wrong if you focus only on your academics,co-curricular activities or any field?” A big shout out to Sir, saying
Thank You, Sir, for the opportunity to help me learn the skill of writing!
Sumali Ma’am- Ma’am, you always gave me opportunities to polish my skills which I never realized. You helped me to understand the language of Shakespeare. In the competition, I didn’t win anything, but you gave me the prize I craved for the feedback on my performance.
Abhikshit Sir- He is the physics teacher in our class. My classmates and I were stressed about the physics exam because we didn’t understand the numerical when Sir called us during our prep and made us understand everything. He always had my back whenever I was under stress or under too much pressure. Thank you, Sir.
These teachers were my back for all these years full of learning, friendship, trust, and integrity…
A Big Shout to all of you
Thank You For Becoming my support system…

My World of Stories - Anvesha Rana
When It All Began - Anvesha Rana
We don’t have to be great to start, but we need to start to be great. All of us must have been a beginner at some point in our lives, on the sports field or on the dance stage. Every person who has achieved success today would have been a beginner once, so allow yourself to be a beginner, for no one starts off being excellent, and it is the critiques that shape our character, not the praise.
In school life, co-curricular activities are just as important as academics. I loved to dance in the cultural arts but was not really good at it. However, during the pandemic, I tried different forms of dance and today, dancing is something that occurs naturally to me. Another activity that I was a beginner at once was writing, but after joining the reading club program, my thoughts changed direction, and I just couldn’t contain them anymore, so I had to write! Practice makes a man perfect; the more I wrote, the better I became!
When I was a new student at school, I found it hard to follow the rules - standing in line, not talking, asking for permission - it was all different. I learnt very early in life that the golden rule everyone should follow is Equality.
Equality in mind and body; Equality in harmony with the soul; Equality in speech and action; and Equality in life are what we should aim for. Just like the students of Tomoe treated their janitor wonderfully, we should respect everyone for whatever they do, be it small or big, be it quick or slow, and we should treat others the way we wish to be treated.
Live by the Golden Rule, for it is not stringent but only robust,
It is Equality.

Totto-chan's Life - Anvesha Rana
Totto-chan has taught me many things, from selflessness to compassion, curiosity to care, pity to love. She has taught us innumerable life lessons just through her mischievous nature and jovial personality.
Totto-chan had participated in a sports event and that single event had the most profound effect on her. Similarly, even the sports day at my school is not only a day full of fun but also a day submerged in learning.
The sports day taught me acceptance, that even though I did not win anything, I needed to accept that fact. It also encourages appreciation for others, I learn to acknowledge the rewards of my mates even when I don't have any. It teaches me to care for those who might have hurt themselves while playing, but the most important lesson on the sports day is cooperation, understanding and following your team and leading them in the right direction. The sports day is a day oozing with fun, learning, sports and values.
Totto-chan had a fun pet, Rocky, who was a German shepherd. Rocky and Totto-chan are best friends, but their favourite pastime together was to play the game 'Wolf'. In wolf, you had to roll down on the mat and face each other only to make the scariest, wolf-alike face possible. Rocky and Totto-chan were simply playing this game, but Rocky, a German shepherd, raised its animal instinct and bit Totto-chan on her ear. It was awful, the ear was dangling down but the only thing that mattered to Totto-chan, while at hospital to get her ear mended, was that her parents should not scold Rocky. This incident demonstrated the pure form of love that Totto-chan and Rocky share. It showed how deeply they cared for each other but after all Rocky was her pet, only Totto-chan considered him a friend.
We all want to have a pet, even I want one but I think we should not keep these animals caged in our homes, far away from their families. Moreover, owning a pet requires time, honesty, humility, love, care, patience, cooperation, appreciation and quality, and if we want to have a pet then, we should take full responsibility for it. It should not be that we got a dog home and then just got stuck in our everyday life only to forget our pet. We should respect our desires, and if we want to have a pet, then we should also acknowledge our pet.
Totto-chan is indeed a unique girl. Her enthusiasm is contagious and full of love and passion, and her inquisitiveness is simply enchanting. She found a great interest in creating haikus. A Haiku is a kind of a Japanese poem where 5-7-5 syllables are applied to express daily situations with a unique twist.
Here's a Haiku I tried to create:

Love is spread at the MGS,

The 22 Values - Rishona Chopra
Joy Of Learning (JOL) is based on The Little Book of Values: Educating Children to Become Thinking, Responsible and Caring Citizens. Learning happens through these values.
The future of education will be built on these values alone:
Appreciation, Caring, Cooperation, Courage, Freedom, Friendship, Happiness, Honesty, Hope, Humility, Love, Patience, Peace, Quality, Respect, Responsibility, Simplicity, Thoughtfulness, Tolerance, Trust, Understanding & Unity.
These values make up our life. We don't have to do anything significant to master these. Just opening a door for someone, bringing a smile to someone's face, making friends with someone, trusting someone, understanding someone, and other little acts can do it all.
Why don't we promise ourselves that we will try our best to inculcate these values?

My best friend, Totto-chan - Rishona Chopra
She is the most caring person I have ever met, and she knows how to make me laugh when I am not in the mood. She is so cute! My heart melts when I look at her, and I can possibly never say no to her wish. At the same time, she is naughty, too, but not in the wrong way.
She is an innocent girl who looks at the world with eyes filled with love and care. Never has she broken anyone's trust or hurt someone. She is truly the best friend possible!

Caring - Rishona Chopra
We all must have heard about Caring.
Caring is helping someone, right?
Yes, but we can do much more if we have a wide heart. We could heal emotions too. We should always do it with an open mind, dedication, and love when we do something. Similarly, when we care for someone, we should always do it with a kind heart because if we aren’t, then we aren’t caring, and maybe we are hurting them too.
Now I’d like to present a story on Caring.
Care but to make people strong
Once there used to live a boy who was always told the caring is sharing and one must care for others. He wondered why to care for others when we don’t want to? Why don’t we build them strong instead? If we keep helping them with every bit of thing, then they will be weak! This seemed like a silly idea to others, and it might seem to you too, but it’s actually right!!
Of course, we must help and care for people, especially friends but if we help them in every small thing things which they are capable of doing we are actually making them weak because, today we are helping them but not everybody will right and that way your friends might feel too tired to do a very simple work!!
The boy thought this, but others didn’t like his ideas. Some even started making fun of him! This made him really sad, and he stopped helping people. His mother seeing this, told him that it’s essential to help people. He told his mother his idea of caring. His mother said to him that it’s a good idea, but he should help people who need help and help them be emotionally intense.
He did as his mother said and helped himself be a stronger person and care for others!
