Some sessions leave you with notes; others leave you with a new way of thinking. Today we learnt the real meaning of 6 Cs of Education—Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Citizenship, and Character. As we explored each of these competencies, I realized that these are not just educational concepts but life skills that every child needs to thrive in an ever-changing world. They reminded me that as teachers, our responsibility extends far beyond completing a syllabus. We are shaping future citizens, compassionate leaders, and confident learners.
The learning became even more meaningful when we worked together to create our flip charts. Brainstorming ideas, listening to one another, and presenting our collective understanding reflected the very essence of the 6 Cs.
Every group's presentation offered a fresh perspective, reinforcing the belief that learning grows richer when it is shared. Our day ended with a visit to The English Book Depot. Walking through rows of books was more than a bookstore visit—it was a reminder that every book carries the potential to inspire a new thought, ignite curiosity, and transform a life. It strengthened my belief that a teacher who continues to read and learn is better equipped to nurture a generation of lifelong learners.
As I reflect on today's experiences, I carry home not just new ideas but a renewed sense of purpose. True education is not measured by what children can memorise, but by how they think, collaborate, communicate, and contribute to the world around them. "The greatest gift a teacher can give is not just knowledge, but the courage to think, the compassion to care, and the confidence to keep learning."
