The session was enriching and practical. Gerald Durrell’s words reminded me that slowing down helps us notice the extraordinary in ordinary routines, just as I pause during assemblies to observe gratitude and discipline in small gestures. Michiko Aoyama’s story of rice balls and crabs echoed how everyday choices, even in food or care, reflect empathy and respect, values I try to weave into classroom practices and family life. Overall, the readings were not just literary; they were mirrors to daily living, urging us to stay attentive, empathetic, and open-minded in our roles as educators and individuals.
