A Destroyed World - Rishona Chopra

What can destroy the world or what has destroyed the world?

What could the answer be pollution, poaching, war or what? Wait, is it the Covid -19? No, it's none of them but the root cause for all of them…ego.

Ego has a lot of pride, which leads to greed, selfishness, jealousy, and ultimately leads to anger. All these things whose root cause is ego can destroy the world. In fact, they have.

Greediness leads to war, followed by destruction. Having greed also means being selfish. Just care about ourselves, and when we are selfish, we don't care about animals and nature and start polluting it. We think we are the most incredible creatures on Earth, and without us, nothing can live. We are so wrong. I would like to share a few lines from the poem "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Sara Teasdale.

Not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree,
If mankind perished utterly.

These lines written by Sara Teasdale say that mankind would perish because of war, but nature will continue. We are just a part of this world, but God's most beautiful and dependent creation is nature.

Now that we know the root cause of this trouble and why having an ego is really for stupid reasons, we have to change that.

'The ego seeks to divide and separate. Spirit seeks to unify and heal.'

'Ego is just a small three-letter word, which can destroy a big twelve letter word called relationship.'

War - Rishona Chopra

War

War causes nothing but destruction,
It causes the same fear as a huge volcanic eruption,

The only difference is that we can stop war,

And create the world a bright star!

Our ego leads to greed and selfishness, And that leads to evilness. If only we would understand, That what we claim for is just land!

Ruling and having power isn't needed, Because that, for others, is being badly treated, We all are equal, And having equality is not illegal,

Then why not stop war, And have a good happy year!

"If war can be started by lies, it can be stopped by truth."

Freedom- Tanishq Kaushik

Every Citizens Duty to free India from clutches of Crimes and Negativity

Freedom is the ability to think and do something without any constraint.

India got Freedom in 1947. Still, all of us are not entirely independent. Children, the future of our country, need Freedom. Child labour child trafficking exists in our country because poor people need money to eat and send their children to work even when it is a crime.

Child marriage robs girls of their childhood and threatens their lives and health. They can’t use their constitutional right to education and do not enjoy the flavour of Freedom.

Corruption is another hindrance to Freedom that exists in politics, private and public health, food, education, transport sectors. Even the legal system is not spared, diminishing trust in the law. I believe being honest to ourselves and creating awareness about education is the sole solution to attain Freedom.

About me- Tanishq Kaushik, 7A, Ahlcon Public School. I like reading books as it gives me lots to talk about with others. I like writing stories and painting to express my thoughts, and they are stress busters.

Empathy - Anusha Jain

I am very fond of reading, and Harry Potter is my favourite series.

My Empathy Collage
The highest form of knowledge is Empathy. It is seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another, feeling with the heart of another. Empathy is an action we take to benefit someone after keeping ourselves in someone else's shoes. It will help to shape a more civil society and a humane world.

The concept of Empathy is not limited to other humans. Empathy towards nature, our surroundings, our animals, and, most importantly, towards ourselves is essential. My collage below is all about my feelings and emotions related to Empathy.

Autobiography of socks - Rishona Chopra

I am a (sniffing) sock. You might think I have a cold as I sniff, and you are absolutely right. My job is to protect people from the cold, and I am so sincere with my job that I end up getting a cold myself. I have a wonderful uniform that has black and white patches on it and some sparkling glitter on it, so you can imagine how beautiful my uniform is! As I said, many people use me for keeping them protected from the cold. You must think I have an easy job, but I do not. People throw me into the washing machine when I get dirty, and that reckless creature throws water and foam on me!

You might not like the people who stay in the dirt, but you will be stunned to know that I love them. Why? Well, dirty people wear me for a more extended period, so I don’t have to go in the washing machine and get a fever! I really don’t want to make myself ill.

A gift of Freedom - Bhavya Mahajan

Bhavya Mahajan,
7A, Ahlcon Public School

It was my birthday last week. But due to the pandemic, no one could come. So I thought of celebrating it differently by giving somebody a unique gift of Freedom. Before my birthday, I purchased a caged parrot for thousand rupees. The parrot was charming and adorable. On my special day, I gave him food and released it. The moment I opened the door of the cage, the parrot flapped its wings and happily soared high, away in the sky. After doing this good deed, I felt elated and satisfied. However, when my little sister saw that the parrot had flown away, she started crying. I explained to her that birds are born to fly free, and no one should steal their Freedom from them. It is a sin to trap them in a cage. Through this incident, I learnt that giving Freedom to somebody is the best gift we can provide. My little sister nodded and smiled.

I am an avid reader of mystery and fictional stories. I am fond of writing short stories, poems and articles to vent my thoughts and feelings. My hobbies include dancing and singing. I employ my creativity and imagination in making various art forms.
