Be true to yourself - Tulsi Karki

Picture Courtesy: https://www.consciouslifestylemag.com/true-self-finding-your-spiritual/

Being true to yourself means thinking and acting in ways that align with your values and feelings rather than the values of others.

If you are living true to yourself, you feel confident in your identity and you are pursuing goals that you know will lead to your happiness.

It is really important to be true to yourself it will be your guide to living a life for yourself. A life that is fulfilling and filled with all of the things that make you joyful and allow you to live a life of purpose, whatever that looks like for you.

Hence, the only way to live your life happily is to be who you are, not caring what other people might think or say about it.

People are going to judge you anyway, so you might as well forget society and be like others. But keep one thing in mind you have to be true to yourself at every moment of your life.

Slooh - Arav Agarwal

I would like to thank My Good School, Sandeep Sir and Sukhpreet Ma’am for allowing me to explore space through Slooh. It has been an exciting experience exploring Slooh through live telescopes. It is like a dream come true for me.

I learned many different things about stars, galaxies, nebulas and planets. I have many interesting observations, and one of the exciting observations is about Neptune.
This planet has winds reaching 1300 mph, an extensive storm system similar to Jupiter's GRS, and a faint ring system. Neptune's largest moon Triton is sometimes visible.

We can go on missions and explore specific celestial objects through the live telescopes in Slooh. Slooh also helps us to know more about space through guides and quests. By exploring directions, we can know more about a particular celestial object, and through quests, we get tasks to capture and explore space. After completing that task, we reflect on our findings and learnings and earn a badge!

I have earned three thousand three hundred gravity points and fifteen badges. Oh! What a journey it has been. So, if you are inquisitive about knowing more about space and astronomy, join the incredible journey of Slooh with My Good School.

Thank you.

Poem for my mother - Arav Agarwal

This poem is dedicated to my Mother on Mother's day. Our Mothers are like role models in daily life. They nurture us, support us in everything we do and selflessly work to see us happy.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers.

Thank you, mom, for doing so much for me;
You always make sure that I have a feeling of glee!

I love spending time with you;
You always taught me the value of being true!

Honesty - Arav Agarwal

Honesty for me means being authentic and being who I am.

Whenever I feel that I should not tell the truth, I just ask myself, do I want to live peacefully or in fear. If we say a lie, we feel regret, and then our minds cannot live peacefully. Being honest has helped me get many opportunities for my growth because of my teachers, coaches, friends, and parents' trust and confidence in me. I also get a good feeling and calmness in my mind by being honest.

I have listened to many stories on honesty since my childhood and many parents' experiences where being honest has helped them in life. Even my experience of being open and getting appreciation from my teachers and parents has made me more confident and courageous to always be truthful and honest in life.

So, we should always keep in mind that practising honesty will take us ahead in the future. By being honest, we are only being true to ourselves.

Happiness - Avni Karmarkar

There was a boy whose family was very wealthy. One day his father took him on a trip to the country, where he aimed to show his son how poor people live. So, they arrived at a farm of an impoverished family, which his father considered poor. There they spent several days.

"Did you notice how poor people live?" Yeah, I did- said the boy.

The father asked his son to tell his impressions of their trip in more detail.

Well, we have only one dog, and they have four of them. In our garden, there is a pool, while the poor have a river that has no end. We have got expensive lanterns, but they have stars above their heads at night. We have the patio, and they have the whole horizon. We have only a small piece of land, while the poor have endless fields. We buy food, but they grow it. We have a high fence for protection of our property, and they don't need it, as their friends protect them."

The father was stunned. He could not say a word.

Then the boy added: "Thank you, Dad, for letting me see how poor we are."

This story shows that wealth and happiness are not measured by material things. The father asked his son if he liked their trip on return. "It was great, dad!" the boy replied.

Friendship - Bhakti Gupta

"Though miles may lie between us, we are never far apart, for friendship doesn't count miles; it's measured by the heart." – Pratham Bhansali.

I came to Gyanshree School at four in the nursery for the first time. I made a friend whose name is Khwahish. I made more friends, but Khwahish and I shared a special bond. And even now, we do things simultaneously, think the same thoughts, and read each other's minds! But the most important thing is that we both rely on each other and trust each other. We can share all our secrets and never feel insecure about it. We have different likes and dislikes, and we have different opinions, but we don't care for we love each other. From the age of 4 till today, when we have turned 9, we continue to be the best of friends, and I am sure we will always be. I would like to end by sharing a quote on friendship by Helen Keller that applies to our relationship - "True friends are never apart, maybe in the distance but never in heart."
