Reflection on the chapter Be the Change from the book Is Your Child Ready to Face the World? by Dr Anupam Sibal.
"We must remind ourselves that one child, teacher, text, and pen can change the world when in doubt. By being the change, we can make this world a better place". - Arav Agarwal, Grade: 5C, Billabong High International School, Thane

Be The Change - Arav Agarwal
A day at school - Shlok Rastogi
It was my first day at formal school; I was nervous because I didn’t have
any old friends. As I entered my school, it was quite nice. After that, I
sat at my desk. When I opened my bag, I noticed that I had left my pencil box at
home. I felt like crying. Suddenly I heard a whispering sound from somewhere. I looked
back and saw a boy who smiled and offered me a pencil. I was thrilled and
thankful.
The next day in the dance class I learnt that he didn’t know the dance, so I explained to him some dance steps. That smiling and caring boy, Vihaan, gradually became
my best friend. It has been three years now, and we are still perfect friends; we support and encourage each other. I love to be with him. It is rightly said
that a friend is one with whom “We laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and
smile a lot more”.

Friendship - Vinki Srivastava
Vinki Shrivastava, VI, Ahlcon Public School |
I like to read quotes of great leaders as they shape my thoughts. I have fun playing games from Skating and Swimming to Hopscotch and Ludo as they are full of fun. I think little things in life give us the most joy. I also love learning about computer languages. Acting is my goal.
Appreciation - Miraya Bhatia
Let us believe in appreciation’s fate
Let us appreciate things now
You may ask how should we appreciate
For being appreciated, you need to appreciate
Always remember you need to believe in its fate
Let us appreciate every blessing
Trust me, it is worth expressing.

Anger & Affirmations - Rishona Chopra
Often we get angry at the most minor things. If someone says something to us like ' You are rude', those three words can hurt you a lot. One of the ways to calm down is through affirmations. When I am angry then I like writing down and repeating affirmations:
I am a peaceful soul
I am a happy soul
I am a mindful soul
I am a knowledgeable soul
I am an emotionally powerful soul
Another way to calm down is thinking that every situation you come across, even like the one above, is simply a challenge that makes you a more substantial, mature and better person.
Whenever we feel lonely or disheartened, we should remember that we have a best friend with us, and that is God. He is someone who always listens patiently to us and is truly a friend that we can never forget.

Friendship - Aryama Shukla
Let me tell you a small story about how books became my friends. I was getting bored one day, so I asked my mother, "What should I do, Mom". My mother said, "Beta read books. They will become your best friends, and you will never get bored throughout your life". After some days I tried to read a book, slowly I started reading at a faster pace, and from then the journey of reading books started. I now love reading books :). That is how books became my friends.

Friendship - Ruhaan Chawla
I have a lot of friends among all Dhruv is my best friend. We have both been best friends since childhood. We both study in the same class and same school. In physical school, we used to sit together and share our tiffins. We also used to share our pencils and erasers. We both are of the same age. Our moms are also good friends. We went to picnic together. During the online session, if due to an internet problem I miss any class, Dhruv helps me by telling me what all did I miss in my class. I also help him if he misses any session. We both are lucky that we are best friends.
