Freedom - Samaira Gupta

“Freedom means self-determination. Freedom is not just what makes dreams come true; it makes dreams possible. Freedom is essential because it leads to enhanced expressions of creativity and original thought, increased productivity, and overall high quality of life.

Freedom for me is art. I can do art whenever I want. It's like I am inhaling the colours and exhaling them on the canvas.

Appreciation - Rishona Chopra

Appreciation is to appreciate as in to be grateful and thankful for something.
Most of us have so much to appreciate, but we still take time for finding mistakes and forget to embrace all the privileges we have and don't appreciate that. There shall always be greed for more, but it's on us to know how to control it, appreciate what we have, avoid finding what we don't have and stop this greed for more.

I know finding out mistakes is easier and catchy to talk about. I faced this problem myself! Although I have a lot to appreciate, I used to find what I didn't have. I have worked on that mistake and have stopped complaining and enjoying what I have. It's a little tricky but the moment you think about the things you have - a home, good clothes, education which most people might not even have you feeling happy and grateful for what you have.

Compassion - Sunita Mehta

3 feet everything!

Hey! how old can he be...was the first thought that came to mind when I saw a  hooded three feet nothing walking down the road that cold foggy morning. My frantic eyes searched for an adult. Should I stop? Should I report the matter at the police post around the corner? Should I just wait there for a while?

This is no time for someone so young to be on this lonely stretch of road. I looked for a turn to go back. The rearview mirror adjusted as far as the eye could see, I slowed down. Suddenly, he was nowhere to be seen!

Headlines flashed before me...I had to help. I turned and stepped on the gas. Everything sinister than I had ever heard of or read about came rushing by, only to come to a grinding halt. There he was, my little hooded runaway, nestling a pup under his jacket, returning the puppy to its mother. All of them, cocooned world of their own! After all, goodness still exists in this world.

Compassion - Aanya Kumar

In the reading session on 9/1/2022, I understood that compassion is essential for success.

Take the example of Princess Diana. Princess Diana had been involved in hundreds of charity events. She learnt sign language for the deaf and actively participated in the British Deaf Association. Also, she supported the Royal Marsden Hospital and became the president of Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children. She was against those who afflicted AIDS and leprosy.

Sadly she died in 1997. Her works of compassion are always to be remembered. We should be compassionate and help those around us.

Compassion - Rishona Chopra

Based on the chapter Compassion from Is Your Child Ready To Face The World by Dr Anupam Sibal.

As some of us might know, compassion is the feeling of caring for someone. It is to feel for someone, understand one's sense and perform a kind gesture. That little gesture can change someone's life!

All of us are born with compassion and empathy. It is our choice to continue that or go on the wrong path. It might be difficult as most people tend to go on the wrong way.

Take the example of Mother Teresa-

At the age of twelve, Mother Teresa decided to become a nun. She saw the poverty in the world and decided to help the poor. She helped those who needed it the most.

It's similar to Princess Diana. Although she faced several obstacles, she helped several people. She talked about those who didn't care.

It doesn't matter how big or small your act is, but compassion is essential.

Courage - Shaurya Buchade

Hi, I am Shaurya Buchade from Grade II – A. Meaning of my name “Shaurya” is “ brave and courageous”, and I always behave accordingly!

It is said that no one is born courageous, but one can develop a habit to be it. When I was 2 yrs old, I had a phobia of playing on swings, slides at the playground. My Mom started taking me to the garden regularly, where other kids of my age group used to play on slides very confidently and quickly; my mother encouraged me to do the same, but my little heart got filled with fear by the thought of climbing a slide. But, one day, I developed courage and mounted on the slide slowly with my mother’s help and then experienced its joy. I had conquered my fear forever. If I had not taken that small courageous action on that day, I would have missed all the fun and joy of playing with my peers in the playground.

One should have confidence in themselves; courage automatically follows. Whenever you face a problem, think for some time, and then find a solution and solve it.

Every season has a beautiful reason.

Every problem has a meaningful message.

All we need is a fresh vision.
