Totto-chan: The Little Girl At The Window - Rishona Chopra

Totto-chan, you're great,
You're someone with who I can relate,
You are kind,
You help the blind.
You are sweet,
You acted like you were meat!
You have amazing skills,
You bravely climb hills.
You wanted to be a ticket seller,
But you could even be a storyteller!
You want to be a spy and a musician,
You truly have a great ambition.
You're talkative and have so much to tell,
You're a great rebel.
I wish I were a bit more like you!
And that's true!
The school you go in,
It's so great, Where can I begin?
A unique school it is,
A bright shine it has,
No rules for studying or going in the pool,
It was truly so cool!
The headmaster was a musician,
And he had great ambitions!
He wanted students to learn with passion and fun,
He let the play in the gardens and run!
I wish I too went to this school,
There truly would be no strict rules!
They let students learn at their pace,
So that they learnt with grace.
They visited a hot spring at such a young age,
It kept them so engaged.
It is such a unique place,
It was something to embrace!
It was such a wonderful journey to be with you,
At first, you were new,
And  now everybody knows about you,
I wish I could be more like you!
Your school inspired me to embrace mine,
You are truly so kind!
I feel I could read about you again and again,
It'll remind me of the days when I was ten.
I love you, my friend,
Our friendship has no end!

The Art of Focus - Anvesha Rana

The Art of focus is a piece of advice,
for life and for the next generational resize,
It can be passed on because we might change,
but our values will nevertheless be the same.

We need focus in our lives, not for success,
but for a family, for happiness and for building a fortress,
Without focus, we are inhumane and uncertain,
like a play without a curtain.

Stories can be your guide into another world,
They can make you believe what you thought you never would,
You'll find your moments and live up to them,
You'll find your gratitude and treat it as a hem.

Focusing on the present will make you someone new,
for neither the past nor the future will be now pursued,
We'll learn to be better and better till we can then share it with others,
for what is life without a teacher who isn't like a brother.

Let's dive into finding our focus for it might be deep down,
or it might be on the top which just needs a little jerk,
If we have focus we will not want to be the winner on the field,
but we will want to be the winner in life.

Someone very important in my life who I’ve lost - Affifa Fatima

On New Year's Eve, 31/12/2020, something horrible happened.

I had two cats, Chandler and Zoey. Chandler went to my grandma's house for a month. He
used to go out for a walk daily. But one day, he never returned. Everyone went searching for him. But in the end, we found him in the woods. Some wild dogs had attacked him. Chandler was very innocent. It seemed as if I'd lost a piece of me. My other cat Zoey is alive and well, and I wish she never dies.

A friend whom I lost - Gaurangi Rastogi

Date-12th August 2020
Time-1:00 pm

It was a rainy day filled with sadness; I can still feel the moment as it was a changing point in
my life. I lost a friend who gave me happiness while she was in her bad times. A friend who
never spoke anything about her illness. Can you imagine? How does it feel when you lose
your friend whom you grew up with? I can still feel her presence around me. Her name was
Shyra. We always had a kind cultural diversity within us. During my holidays, I still visit the gurdwara and think about her. She wanted to become an author and publish her words. I used to call her Miss. Austen ( Jane Austen). She wanted to enter IFA ‘ International Fashion Academy’ in Paris for Fashion Journalism. She was an aspiring fashion designer and journalist. But, there was a time when we were shocked.

The words I can use to describe her:-
 Happy
 Carefree
 A sister
 A friend to the needy
I made a mistake: ‘ I abandoned her when she was ill.’
If she can see me,
Shyra, I am sorry to abandon you.
