Courage - Arjun Verma

Courage is when you do something that you are scared of. It is the ability to

control fear in a dangerous situation. If we do not have courage, we will

not do some things that we fear a little or a lot today. It also builds our self-confidence.

Now, I'd like to share a poem on courage-

I want everyone to have courage,

That is something I’d like to encourage,

If you help an animal, even if it puts you in a little bit of danger,

It’ll be happy to receive help from a stranger,

You need bravery,

To let go of wavery,

So be brave everyone,

And you will soon be confident enough to do what you fear a ton!

Courage - Ushita Saxena

                                                        “Courage is grace under pressure”.

All of us, no matter how young, have done something courageous. It would be

doing something for the sometimes or being calm under pressure. Here is my tale

of being courageous.

‘Once, I was going to the park with my sister. I was going inside the lift. And after

a few moments, the lights went out. The lift suddenly stopped, and it was going to

the basement. I was surprisingly calm and collected and knew what to do. My

sister, however, was panicking. As I tried to calm her down, the lift had arrived at

the basement. I pressed the “call” button, and one of the guards on the ground

floor told us to calm down. After 5 mins the lights came on. Finally, I went to

the park.’

See? It isn’t a challenging job. Courage isn’t having no fears but withstanding them

instead. You need it to begin. It gives you the ability to not be embarrassed or shy

and take the first steps to try something. It is one of the most essential values of life.

Courage - Avni Karmarkar

What does the word courage exactly mean? It means the ability to do something that frightens something or someone.

I am Avni Karmarkar going to tell you a story of a woman named “Virginia Hall.”

Once upon a time, there was a woman with a wooden leg. Her name was Virginia, and she called her leg Cuthbert. Though she walked with a limp, Virginia was amazingly determined. When the second world war broke out, she joined the British Special Forces and set off across the English Channel to help the France Resistance fight the Nazis.

Virginia was a master of disguise. One time, she pretended to be an elderly milkmaid. She dyed her hair grey, put on a long skirt, and shuffled along so that nobody could see she had a limp. She sent out secret radio messages telling the Allies about German troop movements. It was hazardous, and Virginia knew that she would be tortured and killed if she were discovered. But she carried on regardless.

As she was known, the limping lady was considered the most dangerous of all Allied spies. Nazi secret police put wanted posters all over France, but Virginia always stayed one step ahead of them.

Once, she almost died crossing the Pyrenees Mountains on foot in the middle of Winter. She Radioed a message to London: “Having trouble with Cuthbert.” They did not realize she was talking about her leg. “If Cuthbert is giving you difficulty,” they replied, “Have him eliminated!”

By the end of the war, The Limping Lady’s team was destroyed four bridges, derailed several freight trains, blown up a railway line, cut down telephone wires, and captured hundreds of enemy soldiers. Virginia was declared America’s most outstanding female spy and received a medal for her bravery.

Courage - Rishona Chopra

Based on the chapter It’s never too late, from Is Your Child Ready to face the world by
Dr Anupam Sibal

Sometimes when we have fear or are in a situation where we have options, one risky and the other an easy one. Here we have to display courage. Courage is being fearless, showing an end to fear and bringing in bravery. Of course, it is difficult, but that is what life is about. Taking risks and having new experiences.

Take the example of Dr Christiaan Barnard- a cardiac surgeon Dr Christiaan Barnard was an ambitious cardiac surgeon who started performing and studying cardiac surgeries. He started performing heart and lung transplants. He had a few cases where he could just make joy with his first successful surgery or put everything at stake. Here he took the risk and performed a successful surgery!

So to have courage, you just need to believe in yourself.

Courage - Hetal Vaishnav

Courage means the ability to control fear. Another word for courage is being brave. It is a good value, and it is essential for us.

We should not be afraid of fear. So it is essential to inculcate courage in ourselves. I would like to share an example of a woman.

Women face many problems, they solve all of the issues because of courage. If we are afraid of difficulties, we will never solve those problems. Courage also builds our self-confidence.  I would also like to share one more example of our freedom fighters. Today, we all remember our freedom fighters because of their quality of courage. Only because of their courage and bravery, our country becomes free from British rule. So let's be brave and stand for the right cause.

Courage - Dakshita Sirvi

Have you ever lost someone whom you had loved the most in your life?
I have.

The one whom I loved the most in my life, the one with whom I shared everything. No one is not afraid of anything in the world. What do you need to overcome these fears? All you have to do is to show courage. For me, courage is being fearless, confident, and daring to do anything. Because in life, there are many situations where you are broken, and no one is there for you.

You have to show courage; you have to stay strong. You have to forget all the memories you have spent with that person and move on. You have to overcome this fear of losing your loved ones. Because no one is immortal, everyone has to leave this life one day. You have to become capable to give others the support you needed at that time.

Always try to overcome these fears and show courage.

Beating The Odds - Rishona Chopra

After reading the chapter Beating The Odds from the book Is Your Child Ready For The World by Dr Anupam Sibal.

We often come across problems that get in our way or obstacles that discourage us. Even our own health can discourage us from our goal, but we shouldn’t let that happen.

Life has ups and downs, and we have to face them. People can only comfort us, but it is we who have to
be brave and strong to face such challenges.

Take the example of Ludwing Van Beethoven, a famous pianist.

Ludwig Van Beethoven had a hearing problem called Tinnitus in which he would get a ringing sound in his ear that made it difficult to hear. Despite facing trouble, he faced this challenge and played the piano like there was no end. He played it with positivity. He was able to make masterpieces even with his hearing problem.

The story of Beethoven is just an example. Your health doesn’t need to be a problem. It can be of any kind, from bullies to serious injuries. It can be anything, but you have to face that challenge with positivity and never give up.

Courage - Rishabh Sheikh

I believe that one of the solutions to overcome fear is to develop courage. Courage is the mental and emotional preparedness and ability to deal with difficult, challenging, and sometimes seemingly impossible circumstances.

Courage is a highly prized virtue, and many famous and respected people have spoken or written about it over the year. We probably all have an idea of what we mean by courage or bravery, as it is sometimes known.

I learned that courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. The brave man is not one who does not feel afraid; he is ready to face it.

Honesty and Respect - Tanishi Chitara

Tanishi Chitara
Honesty and Respect are essential hallmarks of healthy relationships. In healthy relationships, people talk honestly, listen well, trust and respect each additional. Honesty is a vital character trait that every individual should possess. The possession of this trait is very beneficial for a person’s whole life.

Honesty is the courage to speak the truth and reject disloyalty. At the same time, respect is a way of treating or thinking about someone. People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority – like a teacher or cop or grandparents. We show respect by being polite and kind.

We are taught early that honesty is a great virtue; one must give respect to earn respect, and learning compassion requires standing in someone else’s shoes. All of these are pretty ideas. After all, people don’t want to be lied to; they want to be respected for who they are. I think it’s best summed up by the adage, “Treat others the way you wish to be treated.”

Trust - Krishna Dave

Trust is an essential thing in life, trust is hard to define, but we know when it's lost. It takes years to build but seconds to break, and it cannot regain. When a paper is crumbled, and you can smooth it over; but it's never going to be the same again. Trust makes the people believe in you like; when students trust, its a teacher, the teacher always tries to make the student future as bright as possible. Trust is fundamental to life, and it is always said that gaining someone trust is difficult, but it's not true if you build the nature of belongingness, then you can gain someone's trust easily without any difficulty. Faith and trust are two qualities that make a man great.

If you can trust, you are the person of courage because a coward person can never ever trust anyone in their life. When there is trust, communication becomes easy, and the goal can be achieved. It is a special thing to be trusted by someone. To be told, you are trusted is an even greater feeling. You should not trust anybody easily because people only take your advantage, always be careful before you trust anybody once you found someone you can trust then your life becomes good and sorted.

Trust is like a good deed; it always comes in a good manner. Initially, being honest and trustworthy is the same because you never lie to someone, then automatically it builds someone to trust in you, which brings a feeling of happiness. For trusting someone, you should trust yourself first; if you can't trust yourself, then there is no way that you can trust anyone else because if you doubt yourself, then you will always doubt those around you as well.

Trusting someone is always positive; trust is a scarce thing to find in life. It is always difficult to trust whom you don't know. Still, you should give one chance them by trusting them there will be two situations that person whom you trusted would break your trust then you should make that person your lesson by telling yourself that whom I trusted taught that you should never trust someone easily in your life or that person not break your trust, then you are lucky to have that person in your life. That person gives you good memories that give you the courage to deal with any problems in life.
