The "Heart" VS " The Mind" - Mishu Gupta

The "Heart" VS " The Mind" is one of the most common dilemmas in decision-making. Especially when dealing with or making choices for our own life choices.

It is challenging to choose what is best for us rather than giving advice in somebody else's life. Example: Should I be attentive in class or get distracted?: and when we provide this advice to others, it seems right advice or suggestion that we are giving.

Sometimes our heart says something, and our mind says something.
Let's change our minds and even change again. Sometimes we make a quick decision to get out of that problem that we are facing but then in future. We also regret our quick decision and feel guilty about why we did that or if we should have done something else.

Yes, I have experienced the dilemma between the heart and mind during my exams. Solving those questions and many options are kept in our minds and hearts. Then, my heart says Choose option"A", but my mind says Choose option "B" because somewhere or the other, it is related to the topic. Therefore, it becomes challenging, and my conscience starts deafening to choose A or B. So we must be cautious and choose the correct option at that specific time.

2022 in My Good School - Rishona Chopra

My Good School taught me many things,
 It opened up new swings.
From Totto-Chan
To Swami and Friends
From Art Of Focus
To Wise and otherwise
This journey has been one of a kind.

Reading, Writing,
Speaking and Creating.
Sometimes I just look at the paper,
Not knowing what to write.
I feel my mind has gone blank,
Nothing more left to write.
Should I search for a topic?
Should I ask someone?

I finally started to notice that all writings,
Come from something I have learnt.
It is in my heart and in my mind.
The answer is in my heart.
That tells me what to write.
My Writing, in the end,
Comes from A unique book.
That perhaps why I read,
At My Good  School.

The Power Of Love - Shambhavi Nautiyal

Have I felt the power of love?
(Thoughts and experiences)

Feeling the power of love, love to me is loving someone without any self-seeking interest; it may be full of evergreen thrill, adoration and concern, but it can also be thinking about a friend, being reminded of a glimpse of each other laughing together or having deep conversations and having a good time.

I feel love whenever I hear of someone's trust in me and how they can rely on me after coming a long way together with them in life. I feel love whenever I practice self-love by looking out for myself, no matter what, feeling that I have matured in myself and invested that time for myself.

Love is like a journey; the deeper you go, the more immersed, wise, and experienced you become and the more content and happier you feel with life. You may die, but your love shall stay on to be.

Follow your heart; everything will be alright and meaningful, and helpful. It may be a journey of a relationship with someone else, something that goes down the lane of life with you such that if it's gone, it feels like there is no purpose in life. Love is what drives us all. It keeps us alive, whether it be the love for a hobby, for yourself, someone else or this world.

I feel love when someone listens to me carefully, is understood, has a place in someone's life and is cared for whilst the other person looks out for and considers themselves and wants the same respect in return is what is love to me.

The true mark on human memory is when you leave any impression on someone's soul with your heartfelt actions. That's all it takes to manifest your love for anyone by doing or saying whatever comes straight from the heart, which forms the phrase, 'Follow your heart and all shall be alright', a short but meaningful and helpful one.

Just the way it is famously said that your bad times give you a reality check about your close ones only, the ones who actually love you will come forward to extend a hand of assistance. If the love in you guides you to help someone who looks at you with distaste in their bad times, they will come to help you if they are a good person. Love leads you to goodness.

Love teaches you patience, and the good you do remains good no matter how the person responds. Your karma is only yours. Even if it is not returned from the person you do good for, it does come around.

Go on and love yourself!

Real World Learning - Anvesha Rana

Real-World Learning and Reel World Learning are the sides of the same coin. Real Learning is necessary, but Reel Learning is what seems necessary. We cannot be aware of our education unless and until we are put in a situation to test our learning. Exams are the only way to test understanding these days, but there are numerous other ways to check our education. School Trips are an excellent way to assess students' global perspectives and core values.

Gathering in one place and deciding what to bring. The memories of dancing on the bus, eating on one plate and being friends with teachers are the recreations of my school trip. Schools trips may be educational, but they truly make learning fun!

Some trips are just unforgettable because they are lived full-heartedly with the best ones, and the best thing is that while coming back from these trips, we have an extra-large suitcase full of all the memories in our Hearts.

Happiness - Lisha Soni

Happiness is the opposite of sadness. It is an emotion and a feeling of being happy. When our soul is happy, we also will be satisfied. And its pure vibes naturally come from our hearts. Happiness is a source to live a life satisfying. Happiness can lead to robust mental health and can keep you physically fit. Helping someone makes us happy and refreshes our minds.

Once in my colony, I was standing on my house balcony and seeing people roaming here and there a poor old man came. He was looking hungry, sad, and suffering from a cold. I went and asked him, " What happened to you don't have a shelter to live a happy life. " He said, " Child, I don't have anything. There is no one of mine in this world." I talked to him. He also talked about his sad story, and I listened to him. Then I gave something like food and a sweater and some clothes and slippers. He gave me lots of blessings, and he got happiness. If we spread joy, we will also bring pleasure.

Giving - Rishona Chopra

Based on the chapter 'giving' from the book Is Your Child Ready To Face The World by Dr Anupam Sibal.

When God blesses you financially, don't raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.

                                                                                                                   - Mark Batterson

It is true what Mark Batterson has said, we should give not only when we are rich in our everyday lives, we should raise our standard of giving, it may not be just giving money, even giving a toy to a person who needs it or a book is an act of giving too!

A small act of giving could mean everything for a person. Giving not only makes the other person happy, but it makes us happy too. As said, ' make others happy, and you will be happy in the same way ' give and give, and you will feel better.

Bill Gates, one of the wealthiest people in the world, still has a kind, generous heart. When we are super rich or famous, we tend to become more competitive, and while doing that, we sometimes forget about the value of giving. Giving did no harm to Bill Gates; in fact, he has succeeded as a better human being. This isn't supposed to mean that we only give when we are super-rich; we can give as we wish.

We can give hope, love and happiness, and that is, in fact, faithful giving. When we give, we shouldn't expect the same from a person. We should give from our hearts.

I donate the things I don't need anymore to a suitable NGO. That, too, is giving. It doesn't mean that those things I am giving are dirty or nasty; they are as good as new. This brings a smile to the poor and my face too. Looking at one more advantage is that my room is better organized!!

Courage - Rishona Chopra

Based on the chapter It’s never too late, from Is Your Child Ready to face the world by
Dr Anupam Sibal

Sometimes when we have fear or are in a situation where we have options, one risky and the other an easy one. Here we have to display courage. Courage is being fearless, showing an end to fear and bringing in bravery. Of course, it is difficult, but that is what life is about. Taking risks and having new experiences.

Take the example of Dr Christiaan Barnard- a cardiac surgeon Dr Christiaan Barnard was an ambitious cardiac surgeon who started performing and studying cardiac surgeries. He started performing heart and lung transplants. He had a few cases where he could just make joy with his first successful surgery or put everything at stake. Here he took the risk and performed a successful surgery!

So to have courage, you just need to believe in yourself.
