Books and characters take us to places where we have to stay where we are, and there are times when we are fascinated by the characters and their qualities that we aspire to be like them. If I were a character in a book, I would be Tom from the series Tom Gates by Liz Pichon. The character Tom inspires me because he does not have any superpowers, and Tom is like one of us. Still, he is active, intelligent, solution-oriented and loves trying new activities. In one of his books called ‘Super Good Skills’, things did not go the way he wanted, but he made it fun for himself and his family with his qualities. Tom transports me to his school, classroom, home, on his school trips and at his friend’s house, where he teaches so many life values like friendship, being courageous, communication ways and keeping a positive attitude. The most important thing is that he does everything in a fun and enjoyable way. With him, I get motivated to be a better person, give my best in whatever I do and make
Hi! I am a football.. hey, not so quick, don't kick me! So I am a ball, you know, round in shape. I have orange and black patches on my skin. I have a very, very sad life. Let me tell you about it. People keep kicking me, again and again, and they (sobs) find it fun! Can you believe that, so cruel? I have never done anything wrong in my life. But I still get the punishments. I am truly innocent! I am not bad at all! It all started when I was born. They started kicking me the very day I was born. No one has ever loved me. I have got so many kicks that I am used to them, so I decided that life is a life. We had to go with it, so I happily enjoyed kicking and cheering the football teams. Well, that is it; I hope you give me a break and stop kicking me! It would be a huge favour! Rishona Chopra Grade V Gyanshree School
I am a bus. A school bus, to be precise. Unfortunately, I can not remember much. You see, I had gone through several surgeries, and that is why I don’t know much. Some think that I had gone through so many surgeries because of my carelessness. I assure you that my surgeries happened because of the selfish plans of some people. They wanted to make me beautiful and comfortable for them! They did not think about me at all. Now, you must be thinking, why didn’t I shout for help? I did call for help, but those selfish creatures did not listen to me. Before my surgery, I called … Van. Then I was called Bus and then finally I was called a school bus. Despite all the pain I went through, I like only one thing. I want to meet children. Many children come and sit on me, and I love talking to them. They hate wearing my friend Seatbelt, but what can I do? Those cute little faces bring a smile to my face. That is indeed the best part of my job. School Bus Rishona Chopra Grade V Gyanshree School
